Database Bridge List

This drop-down listbox contains the list of bridges that are in the database. The selected bridge will be the one in focus for Superstructure and Substructure tabs.

Show All Bridges Selecting this checkbox will show all the bridges in the database in the 3-D view.
Project Tree

This tree list contains the list of all the components of the selected bridge. The checked items are shown in the lower view.

Upper 3-D view

This view contains the selected bridge in its entirety. Zoom, Pan and Rotation options are available to view the bridge in more detail. Also, specific items from this view can be selected for closer examination in the lower view. Setting the mode to transparent allows you to view strands, tendons, longitudinal reinforcement and vertical shear reinforcement (stirrups) in the superstructure, and all the reinforcement in the cap, column and footing in the substructure.

Lower 3-D view

This view contains the items selected from the upper view. Selected elements can be shown in this lower 3-D view by checking them in the project tree.

The component names and types are shown on each item. Pressing the +/- button on the tree expands or collapses the branch. Selecting the check box selects the items within the branch as selected items shown in the lower graphic view. Note that under Superstructure List, the Girder Range for a precast bridge refers to the girders within a span.

Clicking on the icons appearing in the top left corner of the 3D View windows changes the views according to the axis selected.

On the Selection Tab, the roadway components such as the alignment, the profile and the cross-section can be modified by selecting them individually in the tree view. After changes are made, you must click the green check mark in the top left corner of the Detail dialog to accept the changes.
